Website Meso Solutions

Meso Solutions is a young firm with big dreams. We are hiring an additional Search Associate to implement client job searches. Our first year focused on leading our clients to execute high-quality searches rooted in equity practices and demand for our work has only grown. We get to know our clients deeply – their goals and mission, organizational needs, and more – and then tackle the strategic and logistical steps to create the roles, recruit, assess, interview, and, ultimately, hire candidates.

As a firm rooted in anti-oppression and anti-capitalistic ideals, we believe that it is possible and imperative to create real, radical change to build healthier workplaces, including our own. Inherent in this position is a deep, professional commitment to intersectional diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). All team members must demonstrate that commitment on a daily basis and will be expected to stay aware of new and emerging research and practices for more equitable hiring.

Our core operating values:

  • Do fewer things better.
  • Equity in action. Not just words.
  • Act with honesty, transparency, and high standards.
  • Job seekers are as important and valuable as clients.
  • Reimagine what leadership can be, and foster it.

As a small company, no two days will be alike, and you will handle a variety of tasks, but in an average week a Search Associate will:

  • Conduct the ins and outs of successful hiring and project management; in particular, reviewing resumes and conducting interviews.
  • Manage your projects through your to-do list and time management. There are a lot of small and vital steps to a successful hire. Working on the details takes time and attention. We expect you to grow into an expert project manager with Meso’s support.
  • Coordinate closely with the client and your supervisor to develop the project, the needs for the role, and ongoing communication throughout the project.
  • Communicate with job seekers via phone, video calls, and email.
  • Handle lots of details and small tasks in an independent manner.
  • Ensure we are minimizing problematic behaviors in our work. Meso takes an active approach to DEI and examines race, gender, ability, age, class, disability and more, as well as their intersections. All staff are responsible for our thoughtfulness around these challenges.
  • Actively contribute to the team in meetings and in written communications. Help identify areas for improvement and implement those improvements as necessary.
  • Ensure documentation of projects within Meso’s project management systems as well as client-facing reports.
  • Check in and communicate with your supervisor on a regular basis.

The onboarding process for this role will include extensive on-the-job training, including partnering with other staff to conduct searches and learn our process. We will also be hosting an employer paid staff retreat in summer of 2022.
