Quaker lobby for peace and justice based on Capitol Hill

The Advocacy Team Organizer recruits and launches grassroots teams of people advocating for peace in federal policy, including issues like ending U.S. support for the war in Yemen, repealing the Iraq war authorization, and promoting peacebuilding in U.S. foreign policy. This is a full-time role at The Friends Committee on National Legislation, the oldest faith-based peace lobby in the U.S., founded by Quaker conscientious objectors almost 80 years ago. Although this person’s role will primarily be organizing people in Quaker and faith-based communities, this person will bring creativity and a strategic approach to grow our grassroots base of advocates working to transform Congressional action on war and peace.
