This Financing Healthcare Innovation position is part of an exciting new initiative to mobilize affordable capital to develop quality healthcare and good healthcare jobs. The Affordable Care Act signifies a generation of change in healthcare delivery, with enormous opportunity and daunting challenges facing healthcare providers. Financing development of quality healthcare and good healthcare jobs is particularly critical in low-income communities, which most stand to gain from the expansion of healthcare coverage, but face the biggest challenges in developing quality healthcare services.
This position will play a lead role in one or more Financing Healthcare Innovations projects, such as:
· Assessment of gaps in healthcare delivery in specific communities, and opportunities to catalyze development of quality healthcare delivery models.
· Design and development of new financing vehicles, working with creative long-term investors and community development financial institutions.
· Working with community-based healthcare providers to develop innovative projects and access affordable capital to expand service delivery.
· Analysis of healthcare market trends related to policy, regulation, industrial restructuring, investor preferences, and delivery and payment systems.

The Senior Analyst and Project Leader must demonstrate experience in financial analysis and/or healthcare market analysis; an ability to continually acquire technical and financial competencies; and a capacity to apply analytic skills in innovative ways. Strong relational skills and an entrepreneurial orientation are highly valued.
The candidate should have a proven track record in strategic planning and project management. Experience and advanced education addressing the healthcare industry from a business perspective is valued, as is experience with finance, community development, development finance, strategic research, and planning. Commitment to the goals of the labor movement is essential.
